Just in case you have not already seen this on 37 websites this weekend, Kevin Rose has some (cough, cough) because of predictions ' about the iPad 2:

Last updated: talks w / another source, the display has a "higher DPI", but not technically a display of the retina.
So to recap - Apple will announce the iPad 2 right at the time, they announced the V1 last year, just like pretty much everyone should throughout, and the next gen iPad will have an improved display. Stop press - huge news eh?
